Well it's been a month since I started my Spring bulb project. and everything is going great so far, the bulbs are respond good to the cold treatments, they are growing leaf buds, and forming roots, They will continue to develop roots through the rest of the winter as we slowly approach spring!
This is a close up of the Tulips These are the Red ones, these ones epically seem to be responding to the cold treatment! it's hard to believe that in in about 2 full moths from now, I'll be planting these in the ground! depending upon when the snow melts.
Here's a close look at how the Daffodils are doing, These are the common Yellow colored ones, ones of my favorites.
Here is a picture of the new additions to my project! while stopping by Walmart today, Even though it's last minue, I saw that they had bulbs on Sale for $2 a bag! which included 50 daffodils, and 16 Hyacinths just $2 each, I just couldn't pass that up! they have been sitting on the self for awhile so some of the Daffodils may not bloom, but I have high hopes for the Hyacinths, This is the first time I've tried Hyacinths in this project!
Now With more then 100+ bulbs in the fridge this year, It will make for one beautiful upcoming spring! please continue to visit for more updates as I continue to update the process of my project through the rest of the Winter.
I would also like to state that I am now a Student of Wisconsin Indianhead Technical Collage in New Richmond! after being Home schooled for many years before, and completing my Clayton High school online courses, I am now going for my High school G.E.D, which is nearly as good as a High school Diploma! Then I can see what classes they offer there, I was thinking about looking up what they could offer in plants, not a bad idea is it!?!
