Sunday Warm! with rain and snow

Sunday it looks like we have some weather to talk about, First it will be warm, highs in the Mid to upper 40s! with possible some low 50s in some areas! With a chance of Rain and Snow some of this may come down as just rain in the afternoon! but I down think there will be much snow accumulation because of the warm temps, and there wont be much rain, the NWS says less then a tenth of an inch of precipitation, this will melt lots of whats left of the snow, and more spring flowers will being to come up, enjoy this Warm weather!

another Winter Storm

Image from http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mpx/

Another early spring snowstorm will effect the areas to our south, thankfully, lol. This snow will be very wet snow, it looks like the best chance for accumulating snow will be in southern Dunn county places like Downsville, Eau Galle and Menomonie may see few inch's of new snow from this places to the north will see less, the Siren and Spooner area may not even see snow at all! but this system should say south, which is not a bad thing if you are ready for the snow to melt away!

Spring Snow to the south.

Image from http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mpx/

Here is the Twin Cities weather story of the day, It shows a snowstorm in the forecast for Friday, thankfully it looks like the worst of this snow will go south of area, places like Hudson, Baldwin and Downsville could see 2-4 inch's from this storm, with just a trace to 2 inch's north and east, looks like Spooner will get out of this one clean! There are Winter Storm Watches to the south of the area, for information on the snowy weather in Southeast Wisconsin please visit

Storm to effect the area.

Image from http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mpx/

the Twin Cities Story of the day is showing something new, There is a good chance for accumulation across western Wisconsin on Monday night into Tuesday, 2 to as much as 4 inch's of wet snow looks possible for this area, with the best chance to the north, areas like Grantsburg, Spooner down to Frederic and Rice Lake should see the most accumulation with lesser amounts south 2 inch's for areas like Menomonie and Downsville. more on this later.

Sunday will be nice, I think we will have mostly sunny to Partly cloudy skies, and we will have mid to upper 30s north to upper 30s and possible some low 40s south. Winds should be light. With this weather more of the snowpack will melt away, not much more to go, In joy the warm weather!

Messy Weather

Image from http://www.crh.noaa.gov/mpx/

This is the Twin cities Weather Story of the day, and the story for Western Wisconsin is the rain and snow later today, looks like we will be in for rain early then changing over to snow I think the best chance of accumulation too the north and east places like Grantsburg Spooner and Rice Lake could be affected by this maybe couple inch's, and I think it will be more of a rain event for places like Amery,New Richmond and Menomonie. Any snow that falls will be wet.

Friday still cold

Friday I think we will have Sunshine, it will be Cold for this time of year, but the sunshine is nice, I think temperatures will be in the low teens to upper teens because of the strong March sun, even with this arctic air, and I think the winds will be light.

Image from http://www.nws.noaa.gov/

as you can see in this Image from the NWS we we will still have Cold temps for Friday, this will be from a reinforcing Cold shot of arctic air.

the NWS shows Temperatures will rebound a bit Saturday then a much better improvement by Sunday!

Thursday cold

Thursday I think will be cold, with temps between the mid single digits to low teens north too the low to mid teens south, but if get some more sun it could be warmer. There is a slight chance of some flurries not much accumulation. then I think we will have some clearing, later on. Winds will be light. It will not be a nice day too be out and around!

Image from http://www.nws.noaa.gov/

This is a temperature map from the NWS showing Thursdays HIGH temps which as you can see looks cold! this is because of an Arctic High pressure and it will keep our temps cold for a few days. Which no one wants to hear.

Good news is looks like pleasant temperature for early next week it looks like we could have some 40s up here! we will all look forward to this.

Wednesday snow

Wednesday I think we will have cooler then average temps for this time of year, with a pretty good chance at some snow from a clipper system, I think we could have anywhere from .50 to 1.50 with the most accumulation in the north and west around Amery, St Croix Falls and up toward Grantsburg and Siren. So a cool and snowy Wednesday coming.

Tuesdays weather

Map and Forecast icons were made/drawn by me to show what I believe the weather will be Tuesday March 3rd

Tuesday, I think we will have Partly to mostly cloudy skies, we will be below Avg temp-wise, I think we will have temps from to mid 20s north too upper 20s south. with light winds with possible some snow moving in later in the day, Not too bad but it is cool.

New Map

This is the first time that I am using this map. I have spent the last 3 days working on drawing this map on my own to use on my blog. This is the finished product. you will see this map most often when I write my thoughs about the weather.

Colder weather

We had the warm weather yesterday... and now below Avg temps, as you can see there is a big area of pink/purple right over Northwest Wisconsin!... that means we are in for highs the low 20s. We all knew it was coming if it is warm weather this time of year, there will be a cold drop anytime soon. but this should change as the month goes on we all look foreword to it!

The forecast below is from the NWS for Monday, at least there is sunshine maby it wont feel so bad!

Today: Sunny, with a high near 20. Wind chill values between -4 and 5. Northwest wind between 16 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

go to http://www.nws.noaa.gov/ for a longer forecast.

Todays weather.

This is a photo of the drizzle that fell today.

Today it felt spring-like, it started out with filtered sunshine, then it turned cloudy. We had mild temps around 37.F all afternoon!, then later we had drizzle. the snow-pack took kind of a hard hit from this drizzle. it really made the snow melt pretty fast.

Here is a photo of the drizzle that actually was enough to get the cars, trees and everything wet!
