This blog was 1st created by me in Winter of 2007. I started off forecasted for my hometown area of Northwest/Western Wisconsin area. I recently moved to Southeastern Minnesota and I will use this blog serve the residents of Rochester and surrounding areas. I started this blog to provide in good detail of every weather event that comes comes to the area and this will continue. I also provide weather forecasts that will focus on a 7 county area in Southeastern Minnesota including, Goodhue, Wabasha, Dodge, Olmstead, Winona, Mower and Fillmore counties. I like to follow an order when I post in which I first post a forecast, then follow up and storm reports which include a post in detail on most weather events that takes place in the 7 county area. First part of each post focuses on the area as a hole, and then the second part will talk about the effects in my area (Rochester) if any weather occurred. These reports and follow ups are informational, and I created them, so that I or my family, or anyone else may look back in the future to see what happened in our area in past storms/events. I am a horticulturist student and I've had a long time passion for plants, so occasionally I post useful information about the care and identification of plants.

It must be noted that, The forecasts I provide are to serve residents with a forecast for planning purposes. They are not meant to be a life saving forecasts, and should not be treated as such. Weather changes from day to day, and as stated above I am a college student, so occasionally a forecast may not be posted, or may not be updated, which can make in invalid or off. This is a personal blog that contains forecasts, follow ups, and reports that are my own thoughts and some of which are from other sources. Any pictures, images, and information from other sources will be labeled with links provided. I am not a professional forecaster, this is more of a hobby of mine that I've been doing since I was very young. I make no claims to be a professional forecaster, and this blog is an amateur undertaking.
