strong storms hit the area comparing to last years fall color to this years

Shelf cloud moving over Clayton September 23rd

Strong storms hit the area last night. a gust front moved along the thunderstorms winds of 30-35 MPH were reported in Amery...Osceola and Balsam Lake areas. a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for northwest Polk County for Strong winds.,no reports of damage. Here we also had the gusty winds. strong enough to blow some leaves out of the trees before they were fully changed. and to blow dirt off of the newly plowed field. Heavy Rainfall was also an issue most places got at least half an inch from these storms. here are some rainfall reports from highest to lowest. Amery: 1.10 Clayton: 1.00 Spooner: 0.69 Frederic: 0.66 New Richmond: 0.60 Siren: 0.55 Rice Lake: 0.54 Menomonie: 0.53 so all places got at some rain! which we really did need. now for weather over the next few days. It will be warming up and getting more humid by Thursday also there is a slight chance of Showers and Thunderstorms, it will be getting into the mid 70s by Thursday even warmer by Friday it should be mostly sunny with highs getting into the upper 70s to low 80s! chance of thunderstorms by Friday night.

Different in fall colors from last year.

These is my best photos to show how this years fall color is later then last year! the big difference is the tree on the left in each photo. last year it was fully turned by this time and this year only the top is fully turned. Even in the distance you can see the trees are more green this year this time then last year. Judging by these photos I would say where about only one week late hopefully this helped show what the difference is!

here is my forecast guess. sunshine and rain is in it! keep watching my blog, I will have fall color updates soon!
