High above Clayton on our rooftop September 5Th
Last night around 9:20PM the power went out, The Cause was an explostion. a Transformer blew out, and the Most Village of Clayton was without power, including my block. the only part of town that had power was the north of highway 63. when I looked to the west toward town from our roof top, you can normally see a few lights, and the light from the town street lamps reflecting off the white water tower. but when I looked out there last night it was completely dark! the only light I could see was on the south side of Lake Magnor, and a radio tower which is miles out of town. shortly after the power went out, There was quite a bit of traffic out on our street, ( Polk Barron St ) plus there was big crews trucks with yellow lights on top driving around, they pasted our house 4 times. The power stayed out for 3 and a half hours!! from 9:20 up until nearly Midnight!
The First Annual U-Can-Do-It! will be held this weekend by the Clayton New Development Organization, called Clayton Can-Do. the U-Can-Do-It is a 5k run or walk which will be be a fun-raiser for community activities! Registration is a 9AM at the Bank parking lot in downtown Clayton! Drinks and T-Shirts will be handed out along the way! Please come and join to help benefit Clayton area Activities!
Here is my forecast guess, there will be several systems pass though this weekend, so there will be chances for rain most of the weekend, but we need it so bring on the rain!
