weather map for Monday, Monday Night and Tuesday
A strong clipper system will quickly move though the area before Very cold air comes down behind it from Canada. This Clipper judging by the models at 2:50PM Sunday looks to drop 1 to 3 inches over the area, but as much as 4 inches are possible. Snow may be moderate at times before ending. Behind the clipper strong Northwest winds will develop this will cause blowing and drifting snow and dropping temperatures. Windchills may be as cold as the -30s to -40s below zero Monday Night. and actual air temps will drop into the -10s south to -20s below zero in the north overnight. Tuesday an Arctic High will be over the area, so expect to see sunshine, but temps will Not warm much at all!, Highs will stay below zero all day, the warmest spots will possible get up to 0.F but that is not likely.
Everyone should be ready for this Arctic cold blast that is about to move over the area, Snow,Blowing Snow, Very Cold wind Chills and Cold temperatures will all be a part of the weather over the next few days. high temperatures may not get above zero during some days, everyone needs to make sure to Keep the heat turned up and wood stoves stalked!
Looking ahead into the week another clipper may move in Tuesday Night into Wednesday, but temps will not be warming up much. looks like it may warm at a slight bit Wednesday before another arctic air mass moves in Thursday, looks like we wont really warm up again until Saturday, more on the weather though the week, in later posts.
