Very heavy rain and high winds hit the area



Very heavy rain July 19Th Clayton,WI


Very heavy rain hit the area Saturday afternoon. as a line of storms pushed in from the west Some of the storms were Severe. Here at Clayton. there was a big tree down in a field from strong winds, the highest wind gust on my weather station was 41MPH, we also had some small branches down in our yard. The Heavy rainfall was the big story on this storm in my area, we got over 1 inch of rain in about 40 minutes! You can even see the sheets of rain in the video above. The rain we got was much needed. There was Tornado Warnings issued to the west when the storms were forming, there were many areas of rotation, one went near Osceola.
When the storm was moving though here, the winds switched directions, from West to north. then northeast. Also it sounds like there is quite a Bit of wind damage in Southeast St Croix County. here are the damage reports

Tree blown down into field by strong winds, July 19th Clayton,WI. This tree damage was just south of our house.

4 SSW Hammond,WI 1.00 inch hail


1 SE Clayton large Tree down


0.75 inch hail in Menomonie


1 N Spring Valley many hundreds of trees down at Eau Galle Reservoir


Some places got over 2 inches of rain from this storm. here are some rainfall totals across the area
