Beneficial Widespread rain Tuesday, Reported rainfall totals.

Photo of Rain June 8th.

We received some very beneficial rain across the entire area today, as a slow moving low pressure system and front which moved from West to East brought Widespread Steady, light to moderate rain fell nearly all day Tuesday, and when it was raining, it was drizzling heavily. This system brought the highest widespread daily rainfall totals the area has seen so far this season, in including at my station, with all reporting stations reporting over half an inch, some places even topping 1 inch. Here in my yard, I picked up a total of 0.89" Which is very beneficial, and drought easing, as of June 1st most of the area was under Moderate to Severe drought conditions, so this rain proved to be very helpful.

Rainfall Totals

Amery 1.14"

Menomonie 0.99"

Balsam Lake 0.97"
