Late August Follow-up report

I decided to make a late post about the month of August weather This is a Full report- August report from my weather station, Weather was observed in my backyard here on the Southeast side of of Clayton,Wisconsin

Precipitation

August was a much wetter month then July August started out kind of on the dry side then Rain really started to pick up by the 21st of August we went over the average monthly total. We ended August with a total of 8.14" of rain for them month, Which is 3.50" above normal, Which is good news for the mainly Dry below average season.

Thunderstorm Days

I had 11 Thunderstorm days in the month of August. I had 2 of the storms I consider Strong Storms and I had 1 Thunderstorm which brought Severe Thunderstorm Conditions. This was on the very low end of what I consider Severe.

We also had 1 strong low pressure system which brought a Tornado Scare for my community. but No tornado or severe damage seen. and it will not go down as a Severe Storm.

Temperatures

August started our cool then we had 1 Hot week in them middle of the month Then it got Very cool the end of the month. August was below average, but it was surprisingly Much warmer then July was. It was we had 11 days with temperatures at or above 80.F and we had 5 days with highs with temps at of above 84.F We had 1 near 90 degree temp August 14Th when we reach 89.F but officially we had no temps at or above 90s in August We also had some quite cool days in August especially the end one the month, We had 1 day at of below 60.F We had No frost at my location in August.
