Forecast/Fall Color Report

Forcast map for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

High pressure which has effect the weather this entire month will continue to bring Sunshine and Above normal temps for Sunday Monday And Tuesday that high pressure system will Finally move off, Monday and Tuesday a Cold/ system will move in from the west, this will bring a chance of showers with it, And Maybe a Thunderstorm but it mainly looks light. The Forecast model wants to push all the rain south of us but I still think, and hope the area sees some rain from this. So expect the Best chance of rain Monday Night and, Tuesday we will have maybe some linger showers but I find that the chance is slim, Cloud cover will hold temps back in the upper 60s. lows cooling off into the low 50s for Tuesday Night Detailed forecast below.

Sunday, Sunny, Warm & Nice! highs near 80, some spots will likely break 80.F. Sunday Night Partly Cloudy, lows in the 50s.

Monday, Partly Cloudy earlier then quickly clouding over with A chance of showers and maybe a Thunderstorm. Monday Night a shower still possible, otherwise Cloudy with lows in the mid 50s.

Tuesday, Cooler, Showers possible, otherwise Mostly Cloudy with highs in the upper 60s to 70 Tuesday Night, Cloudy then some clearing, lows in the low 50s,

Looking Ahead, After Monday/Tuesdays cold front, it does not look like much will happen, it will dry out Wednesday and Sunshine will come back into the forecast but Temps will stay cooler then they have been in the low to mid 70s. then cooling to the low 70s by end of next week... after that a possible short lived warming tend will come in before another possible cool down, but I say possible because anything could happen!

all other Information/Reports besides the Clayton report are from The Travel Wisconsin website.

Fall Colors reports are starting to come in from most locations across the 6 county area Burnett County, Washburn County, Polk County and Barron County all have locations in them which are reporting Low Color, Dunn County and St Croix County are still reporting little color but I feel they will soon follow the rest of the area. Looking around at my locations I would say we have about 15% color here in Clayton,WI Ash Trees and Maples are still the main show right now, Ash trees which were earlier last week are starting to lose leaves fast... looking on the landscape you can see isolated spots of color especially on Wood-lines but otherwise it is mainly Green, Both ash trees in my yard are turning, One is especially noticeable, one is starting to turn yellow and the other is turning yellow-orange. This year the fall color seems to be held back a bit by the Well above normal temps. we have still been getting into the 80s here during the day.
