System moving in Rain likely, Then MUCH Colder, Snow possible for the weekend

Image from NWS

A fairly large weather system will be moving across Wisconsin, A low pressure system will move from Iowa across eastern Wisconsin into Upper Michigan. Temperature will actually be warming up until Saturday then a Major cold front and weather system moves in, Saturday Night into Sunday. First I will talk about whats coming up for the next few days. As this system moves though Rain showers and Cloudy weather will be likely. Friday and Friday night seems to have the best chance for Rain showers. The low pressure system will pull in warm more mild air, highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s. and lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Saturday will be the warmest day, before the Major cold front moves in. Highs on Saturday should be in the low to mid 50s. with a chance of Rain.

Saturday night is when the Cold front and a weather system from Canada, will start to move in from the northwest. Temperatures will take a dive once the cold front goes though. also with this front will come very gusty Northwest Winds. lows on Saturday night will range. but should generally be in the low to mid 30s. there is a slight chance of Rain and Snow showers overnight. Sunday Will be Cold and Windy northwest winds could gust to 40MPH With Snow showers likely. with the best chance of Snow in the north. high temperatures will be slow to reach but only will be in the upper 30s to low 40s for Sunday. Sunday night, Snow chances continue. and low Temperatures will be cold they should range from the mid 20s to low 30s

This System has a better chance of bringing the First snowflakes of the season to Northwest Wisconsin people should prepare for colder temperatures and Snow this weekend into the upcoming week I will bring updates and photos if Snow falls in my area.

I like your Bald Cypress! Did a little poking around the internet, and found a few paragraphs from Wiki that explain why the natural range isn't this far north:

Range

The native range extends from Delaware Bay south to Florida and west to Texas and southeastern Oklahoma-(Little Dixie region, Oklahoma), and also inland up the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers north to southern Illinois and Indiana.

It is native to humid climates where precipitation ranges from about 760 mm (in Texas) to 1630 mm (along the Gulf Coast).

Although it grows best in warm climates, the natural northern limit of the species is not due to a lack of cold tolerance, but to specific reproductive requirements; further north, regeneration is prevented by ice damage to seedlings. Larger trees are able to tolerate much lower temperatures and lower humidities.

It is a very popular ornamental tree, grown for its light, feathery foliage and orange-brown fall color. In cultivation it thrives on a wide range of soils including well-drained sites where it would not grow naturally due to the inability of the young seedlings to compete with other vegetation. Cultivation is successful far to the north of its native range, north to southern Canada. It is also commonly planted in Europe, Asia and elsewhere with temperate to subtropical climates. It does however require continental climates with hot summers for good growth; when planted in areas with cool summer oceanic climates, growth is healthy but very slow (some in northeastern England have only reached 13-16 ft tall in about 50 years), and cones are not produced.

Last season I didn't see flakes until Nov 8. This system looks ominous. I am anxious to watch it evolve, and to read about your possible snowfall.

I have been watching this system for sometime now..I'm still not thrilled about seeing the ground turn white over my Central and Souther forecast areas,up North in the snow belts could seen several inches..I will nail down the totals in tomorrow forecast,as I have the weekend shifts..But I still been puting out forecast on my blog for this system.
