Many people may have noticed all the earth hour logos on my blog this past week, especially as we get closer to the final set date. Everyone has heard of Earth Hour at least once! Well, Earth Hour 2010 will take place Saturday evening March 27th, at 8:30PM to 9:30PM local time. People across the globe will turn of there lights for this event. 236,949 people in the United States have already signed up for earth hour, and will turn off their lights for one hour. In Wisconsin nearly 150 people have signed up, and Wisconsin is an official earth hour state, which means the lights will be turned off at the State Capital building in Madison, also another close by city, The City of Minneapolis will also go dark. In the local 6 county area, Wisconsin University-River Falls, and 2 individuals have signed up to turn out the lights, but there is still plenty of time for people to sign up, I myself would love to see more local people signing up for this event!
I would like to take the opportunity to show people where they can sign up if anyone is interested.
For anyone interested in participating, sign up here on the Earth Hour home page, its real easy, just click the Orange button, and sign up the information and your done! Hopefully we can get some more people from the local area and across the state signed up!
If anyone viewers from the local area or anywhere else have already signed up comment on this post and talk about your plans!

Derek, we're in! Significant spreading of the word needs to be done throughout Oshkosh though, as we're the only one it would seem! I'll do my best to help support the cause. Thanks again for the reminder!
Should be a good hour! ;)
thanks Josh! We need all the help we can get! In my area, only us, and one other person has signed up. I'm actually trying to get my county, and community to partisipate, thanks for commenting!
