My Picture of this mornings snow made area news!

a home video of the clip of my picture being shown on KSTP news.

Shortly after 4AM this morning I sent a snowfall report into NWS While Watching the news over the Internet, I saw my report had made the list, ( video of the report being shown here) I thought this was pretty interesting to see. so I decided to send KSTP a picture of the snow, I sent the meteorologist in this video the email, also mentioned to her I was the person who reported the snow at 4AM and she sent me an email right away and said she would put the picture on the air! and they actually posted it to there web cast online so I was able to view it! so it was Extremely excited to see that my picture, first and last name and community name were all shared on live news! I thought I would post this to my blog for future reference for myself and to share with family and friends.

That's great Derek, at least someone around this area has been getting some snow, lol. I think you've had more snow down there then I've had up here in Duluth. But, will see what happens in the coming months, it'll be fun to watch.

Nice work, D! It's great to see your hard work getting some well deserved attention! When you send in your weather reports to the NWS, do you use their online form, email, or do you call them directly?!

My schedule has changed dramatically from a year ago. 4am was typical last year at this time, 4am nowadays is out of the question. :)

), I send my report through there Espotter program, Which is online! it makes it so much easier then calling.

Tim, We've had 7.25" of snow this season so far, Including Octobers snow whish beat Novembers snow by a landslide! I'm actually in the mood for a snowstom that would bring Sticking snow, Normally that happens this time of year but it has yet to happen!
