A Nice Day forecast for tomorrow, It will be Dry. With highs making it into the Mid to upper 70s and Light winds it will be a perfect day to be outdoors. Monday More Thunderstorms are in the forecast.



Saturday Night, St Croix County got a Severe Thunderstorm There is no reports of damage, in St Croix County, But in Minnesota there was reports of trees down just to the northwest of Stillwater.

I seen 4 Humming birds around this lilac today, they really seem to like the lilacs!

This afternoon there will be some Pop up Thunderstorms, Some of these storms could be Severe. Hail and Strong wind gust are the main threats An isolated Tornado is also possible this afternoon, The main risk area is west of a line from near Siren to Turtle Lake to the Southeast corner of Dunn county Keep an eye to the sky this afternoon.

Severe Storms possible again Saturday

Severe Weather Outlook for Saturday.

Severe Thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon. The main threats will be Large hail and locally strong winds. These Storms will be scattered. something to watch closely, more on this tomorrow, other then that Saturday's Temps will be into the mid to upper 70s. Sunday looking better With sunshine highs in the mid to upper 70s!

Last night We had Thunderstorms, with a nice soaking rain, we got 0.68 of Rain, With some loud thunder.

There is still a Slight chance of Severe Thunderstorms in our forecast Areas south of a line from Star Prairie to near Wheeler and Colfax has the best chance of Severe weather. Large hail, and possible strong winds are the main threats. All areas have a chance at getting a good rainfall, I'm sure there will be Thunderstorms all across the 6 county area. Just one to watch.

Warmer, Severe weather possible Thursday

Warmer weather is forecasted for the up coming days. Wednesday ( today ) will be mostly sunny. With a high near 65.F Tonight's low will not be as cold as last night, It will stay at 46.F for tonight. Thursday. a Chance of Thunderstorms With a high near 63.F With Friday reaching 68.F 70s later on.

There is a Slight chance of Severe Thunderstorm for the area on Thursday Coming in with a warm front. looks like Hail and Damaging winds will be the main threats, looks like the best chance of storms will be south. and West. Hudson area.

Cool weather today cool night is forecasted

weather for Memorial Day was sunny and warm at first then clouds moved in and it cooled off. Tonight it will be very cool, with temps slipping into the upper 30s South with cooler conditions north, ( where a Freeze Warning is in effect ) Tomorrow we will have mostly sunny skies along with a high of around 60.F and then another cool night in the forecast for Tuesday night with lows in the uppers 30s once again with low 30s north. then a warm up, with 70s by Thursday.

Severe Storms rolled though the area.

Severe Thunderstorms rolled though the area This evening, Some places did have reports of damage, A Storm formed in Minnesota late in the afternoon, Where it produced a tornado in Hugo,MN. This tornadic storm moved east into southern Polk and northern St Croix counties, causeing a Tornado Warning to be issued, the Sirens did sound here in Clayton for a time., ( In video below) There was no reports of a tornados from the storm But many reports of 0.75 inchs hail in the Osceola and Amery area as well as 0.75 hail here at Clayton, during the storm we did have a couple of breif power outages, and a strong North gust of 33MPH but No damage here in Clayton, but there is reports of damage in Star Praire where sideing blown off a shead and wrapped around a tree, also many report of tree damage near Praire Farm and Ridgeland. the largest hail report in the area came from just east of Stillwater. with 4.25 reported there!

A MODERATE RISK has been issued by the SPC for all of Western Wisconsin, This means that the chance if Severe weather is quite HIGH Large Hail, Damageing Winds, and Tornados are the main threats from these storms, please stay closely tuned to the SPC and Weather radio especially late this afternoon.

We have had Sunny weather and high temperatures in the mid 60s the past few days, Really making every open up and bloom, first photo is some wood violets in our woods! looks like looks like we will have one more perfect day, Saturday we will have high temperatures into the low to Mid 70s all across the 6 county area!

Weather for this Memorial Day Weekend: This weekend is a Big travel weekend for many people. many people heading north to kick off the camping season! This weekend always brings allot of business in to Clayton. Weather for Saturday looks nice with Mostly sunny skies for the area! Highs will be in the low to Mid 70s Saturday night a 40% chance of Showers and storms The Big weather story is Sunday, Severe weather is possible during the Day on Sunday, I will have updates on this tomorrow. Monday looks better with just a chance of showers and storms.

Greening up real quickly these past few days with all the Sunshine, Every kind of tree, now has some size of leaves on them, Looks like Sunny weather will continue the next 2 days, Tonight will be cool once again, with temps cooling off the to upper 30s in some places, Thursday, It will be mostly sunny with highs in the Mid to upper 60s across the area, With the same type of weather coming in for Friday, The forecast calls for Sunny to Partly cloudy skies, With highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Sunshine and warmer temps

Sunshine and warmer temps is the story in the Twin Cities NWS Today! looks like Mostly sunny skies is in the forecast for Tuesday, and Wednesday, Today, it should reach the low 60s for most areas With Mid 60s south, Tuesday night it could get cool, possible some low 30s, mostly to the north. Wednesday highs should reach the mid to upper 60s. By the end of this week high temps will be in the mid to upper 70s! with sunshine

the area saw Strong to Severe Storms today.

Storm Clouds ( looking west ) May 17th Clayton,WI Strong to severe storms hit the area today. Frist, A storm did go over, and shortly after it became Severe in Dunn county, and hit the Colfax Elk Mound areas. Quarter sized hail was reported near Menomonie. later on a Singificant weather alert was issued for Polk County, there was a storm near Grantsburg moving south, towerds Amery,Balsam Lake and Clayton. Here at my place, we got a strong wind gust of 34MPH from the storm, along with some pea sized hail. But Amery reported a wind gust of 52MPH! from the storm. This is a photo of the storm that brought the 34MPH wind gust, and pea sized hail. ( looking north)

Later on, Strong thunderstorms will form again today. Some of these storms could breifly become severe. The main threats from any thunderstorms will be strong winds and hail, The best chance for storms is after 1PM this afternoon. Keep an eye out this afternoon.

Strong storm hit the area.

Storm clouds looking northeast Clayton,WI There was some Severe Storms this afternoon near Minong, in Douglas county, this caused a Severe Thunderstorm Warning to be issued for Northeast Washburn county, there was some damage reported, with shigles ripped off a home and a report of a wind gust of 59 MPH in Benett,WI in Douglas county. This is a photo, of the front of a Strong storm that moved into Clayton. this strong storm started in Northwest Polk county near Balsam Lake, then moved southeast. As the storm pulled in I saw lots of lighting, and we got heavy rain, then a big gust of wind near the end of the storm, My wind anemometer reported a gust of 32.5 MPH Also, there was a gust reported of 32 MPH in Amery. I did not see any damage. I did take videos, here is a Video of the storm.

there will be some Thunderstorms possible, especially to the north. As a cool front moves south. it looks like the thunderstorms will be mostly spotty, so will not be that much rainfall. These storms are not expected to be severe, But with all the strong winds at the surface and aloft, Winds could gust as high as 50MPH in the showers and storms. also a few could have some hail. Siren,Spooner,Amery, Rice Lake and New Richmond are the areas most at risk. Temperatures today will be in the low to mid 70s all across the area! Looks like high temperatures this week will stay in the low to mid 60s, So the tree leaves will be growing fast!

Nice day, cool night last night.

An orange tulip has opened up in my garden. Last night we had a cool night. some areas got into the 30s! Rice Lake reported a low of 34.F last night While my weather station reported 40.F thankfully! I even left our houseplants outside overnight! Today will be very nice with sunshine and temps making it into the low 70s! Tomorrow, we will have a chance for some thunderstorms, but still highs will be in the low 70s!

We will have some showers and thunderstorms tomorrow to deal with, but it will still be in the low 60s for highs, We could get as much as 0.25 tomorrow, in the heavier showers and thunderstorms. For the rest of the week, looks like highs will stay in the low 60s, and lows in the low 40s with a few chances for showers.

It's been a perfect 2 days with sunshine and light winds! the really is greening things up quickly! some people have even mowed there lawns once already! looks like the forecast for Friday is Partly sunny with high near 60.F, for this weekend it will be getting a bit wetter and cooler, Saturday has a chance of Thunderstorms with a highs in the upper 50s. and some lows in the upper 30s Saturday night and Sunday night. enjoy this nice weather!

Nice weather

We had nice weather the past 2 days, with sunshine. it was a bit cool and Saturday, but Warmer on Sunday. I noticed all kinds of tree around the area showing signs of budding out. and local greenhouses are filled with people buying annuals. looks like out weather for the upcoming we will get a little wet. Monday we should have highs in the lower 60s with just a slight chance of rain. we will have mostly to partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday, it looks like we have a chance for thunderstorms and highs near 70.F
right now it looks like some of the storms could be SEVERE. more details on this tomorrow.

There is threat for Severe weather within the 6 county area, southern St Croix and Dunn counties have the best chance of seeing severe storms, especially areas south of Menomonie. the severe storms may go as north as southern Barron and Polk counties this will be something to watch closely as the afternoon draws near.

Wet weather ahead

Very nice day today, it started out sunny, but then it became cloudy, we had a high of 64 here! Here is a photo of the first daffodil to flower in my garden! even after the well below freezing temps we had,they turned out fine!

Very wet weather is coming for Friday, showers and thunderstorms will spread over the area, some storms may produce heavy rainfall. as much as 2 inch's of rain could fall between Thursday night and Saturday in the New Richmond,Amery and Osceola areas many river and streams are already running high so this may cause some flooding. as for Severe weather, right now it don't look like the storms will be severe, but some storms may produce some small hail.

There is a good chance of Severe weather in Southern Wisconsin Friday, around Madison and Janesville. please vist www.weatherscout.org for more information on the Severe weather to the south.
