Storm Clouds ( looking west ) May 17th Clayton,WI Strong to severe storms hit the area today. Frist, A storm did go over, and shortly after it became Severe in Dunn county, and hit the Colfax Elk Mound areas. Quarter sized hail was reported near Menomonie. later on a Singificant weather alert was issued for Polk County, there was a storm near Grantsburg moving south, towerds Amery,Balsam Lake and Clayton. Here at my place, we got a strong wind gust of 34MPH from the storm, along with some pea sized hail. But Amery reported a wind gust of 52MPH! from the storm.

This is a photo of the storm that brought the 34MPH wind gust, and pea sized hail. ( looking north)
